Reducing maternal and child mortality is at the heart of every major global health agenda. This online MPH specialisation (18–24 months, 138 ECTS) from JLI Switzerland covers MCH epidemiology, MNCH programmes, reproductive health, and child nutrition. Graduates work with UNICEF, WHO, national health ministries, NGOs, and community health organisations driving real impact.
The programme covers the continuum of care from preconception through adolescence, addressing antenatal care, safe delivery, postnatal care, newborn health, child growth and development, and adolescent health — integrating both clinical and public health perspectives. Students explore the social determinants of maternal and child health outcomes, including gender inequality, poverty, and access to education, as well as the design of equity-focused MNCH programmes. Core training in epidemiology, biostatistics, health systems, and community medicine ensures graduates are equipped to both manage MCH programmes and engage in policy discussions at national and international levels. The dissertation component allows students to investigate an MNCH research question with direct practical relevance to programme design or policy.

• Bachelor’s degree in any life sciences related field
e.g., Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Nursing, MBBS, Pharmacy, Public Health, or related disciplines.
