Check out some of these links for job hunting and college application advice/gear. There’s also a few general interest and lifestyle sites in there too.  This is a work in progress, so I’ll be adding more with time.

Sites
Brazen Careerist – A social network for Generation Y professionals.
Brazen U – Solid resource for job seekers, great e-books, courses, webinars, and bootcamps that will help you advance in your career and find a job you love.
Lifehacker – Tips, tricks, and downloads for getting things done.  [My favorite website]
Penelope Trunk – Her posts can be controversial, but, whatever. There is a ton of excellent career insight and great advice there.

Gear/Apps
Livescribe 2 GB Smartpen
 – One of the sweetest note-taking tools you’ll find. The Livescribe records everything you write and hear so you’ll never miss a word. Replay your meetings or lectures simply by tapping on your notes.
Evernote – Their tagline is “Remember Everything” and that’s pretty damned close. This free app will store hand written notes, typed notes, web clippings, and photos and will index everything, making it easily searchable. Awesome mobile app as well – highly recommend.
Dropbox – This app is a free service that lets people bring their documents, photos and videos everywhere and share them easily. The app lives on your phone and as many computers as you want, and keeps all your files constantly in sync. Great for people who work on different computers and mobile devices.

Books
I Will Teach You To Be Rich – Great personal finance book, ideal for young professionals who don’t know anything about saving or investing.
Guerrilla Marketing for Job Hunters 3.0 – Some good tips on how to use LinkedIn and other social media platforms during your job search. Very useful.

  • Awesome resources! I think Lifehacker is probably my favorite one out of those pages, it has great new content all the time.

    • Hey Erik,
