Donating to the Boston Marathon Victims

Donating to the Boston Marathon Victims

On Monday, April 15, 2013 my wife and I participated in the 117th running of the Boston Marathon. Runners and non runners both know how special and uplifting this event can be, and we were privileged to be able to run through that amazing city.

As you know, there was a horrific and cowardly bombing at the finish line, which killed several people and wounded many more. What was supposed to be a cheerful, celebratory Patriot’s Day event became every family’s worst nightmare.

We’ve all seen pictures and videos of what happened, and we all know that many people suffered profound losses. Some lost loved ones, some lost limbs, and some lost their innocence in witnessing one of the worst acts a human can commit.

Helping the Boston Marathon Victims

This was my second time running the Boston Marathon, and the city and event will always have a special place in my heart. To that end, I’m donating 50% of all proceeds from The Mint Manual for the next month to The One Fund Boston – a charity set up by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino to help the Boston Marathon victims.
